Our Bumi carrier is a no knots baby carrier, made of two ultra-soft straps crafted from 100% organic cotton, providing an exceptionally gentle touch while allowing the skin to breathe comfortably.

Designed to be physiological, practical and easy to put on, Bumi has been tested and certified by the Standards Institution of Israel (in accordance with European standards).

FAQ

From what age can I use the BUMI baby carrier?

The baby carrier is suitable for children weighing between 3 to 12 kilograms. It provides secure and comfortable support, making it ideal for your baby's growth within this weight range.

Can I breastfeed with my Bumi baby carrier?

Yes. During the newborn (NB) stage, the baby is already in a traditional breastfeeding position. In the classic carry position, the baby can nurse as they are, seated in the carrier. Most women are able to breastfeed comfortably while using the carrier.

What size should I choose?

Our baby carriers are available in 2 sizes. In any case, it is not a problem to feel very slightly tight at first, so that the baby is well held against you and does not move, just like in a classic sling.

The fabric softens and relaxes with use and as the baby grows.

Size 1 generally corresponds to sizes S/M and size 2 to L/XL.

What should I pay attention to while wearing the carrier?

The baby's airways must be completely clear.
The baby should be at breast height, as if being carried in your arms. The baby should not be at belly height. If they are, adjust the sling to make it tighter
The baby’s feet should be outside of the sling.
The baby should be positioned in M position.

Can I carry my baby facing forward or on my back?

No. Neither of these positions is recommended.

How do I care for the baby carrier?

The sling can be machine washed at a maximum temperature of 30°C (86°F). Ideally, wash it inside out, with mild detergent and alongside delicate items. Do not use bleach or tumble dry your sling.

How do I know if my baby is positioned correctly in the carrier?

Your baby’s head should always be within easy reach for you to kiss.

It’s recommended to position your baby in the frog-leg (M-position) facing you, never with their legs hanging straight down.

The baby’s airway must always be completely clear, with their chin away from their chest.
